Great overview of how to do winning marketing in a digital age
This is a comprehensive and insightful introduction to marketing in the 21st century. And it’s not just for people new to the field. There are ideas and recommendations here that offer useful guidance for experienced marketers as well. There are not many books like this one that have an updated and contemporary view of marketing. Unfortunately, the typical textbook is nothing but an updated version of a late 20th century overview. Marketing is a completely different field these days, and this book is a great guide to what’s relevant now. Well-written, with useful takeaways and sidebars, I highly recommend it.

I have been to seminars by Jeanette, have hired her as a consultant and now have completed Marketing for Dummies. She is truly an authority when it comes to marketing and by intertwining the emotional and psychological aspects of consumers thought processes, allows us to much better understand drivers to purchasing. I highly recommend this book and following Jeanette on social media sites.
Excellent Book for Beginner and Intermediate Marketers
I had heard of Jeanette McMurty’s Psychology Based Marketing principles and how they can be used to get much better marketing performance so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that she authored Marketing for Dummies. I found the book to be thorough and very practical. It covers everything from direct marketing, to content marketing, to networking, pricing and much more. I also enjoyed the chapter on how to create a website that engages and sells. Even though the title insinuates that this book is for “dummies”, I think it is also valuable for those with prior marketing experience.

This book has opened my eyes to what the world really is. I am truly a dummy but this book was almost understandable. Sometimes it uses big words but if you google them it makes sense.
